Yardley is a feral that's been hanging around off and on for about 6 months or so. Just a few weeks ago we managed to trap and have her spayed. She was pregnant and kittens were aborted. She is hanging around more and more since all of this. She wants to be petted, but everytime we try she'll hiss and growl, yet let us pet her a couple of times before she'll nip and run.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
