Richard, I am not defending the woman...but, I can sympathize with her anger/blaming. She needs an outlet, an identifiable target...and NYPD seems to be it. Maybe in time she will see it differently, but, for now....it seems appropriate to her.
Oh, I agree she has the right to blame the NYFD-it's a target with substance.

It's done and it's part of life. I really object to putting on a show for the commission and blaming the NYFD, PA and PD for something that had never happened before.

She probably keeps reliving the fact that there was no disaster plan in place for a plane/skyscraper/terrorist attack, radios and cell phones weren't working and 911 calls were being put on hold.

Wouldn't a donation to a fund, purchasing a GOOD radio or two for the department, or becoming an advocate for public safety be a better alternative than to sitting in a hearing room rehashing your son's death???
