Okay, I will answer that ... dog hair, being all pervasive, somehow manages to drift onto the stick of butter, even if it's in the butter dish, in the butter compartment in the refrigerator with the door shut. Spies should study this phenomenon, honest!

We do not have that problem as, when Miss Hoppy is doing her twice-yearly "big shed" I pet her outside, and all the bunny hair floats away on the breeze. Literally - it is so light it just floats in the air for quite a while. I am confident that baby birds in our neighborhood grow up in the softest-lined nests ever!
