It means by posting, the thread goes back to the top of the other threads, thus, bumping it up since some people look at the first few threads and not further down.

Some of those are cute, but the one about hiding and frightening the owner isn't very dog-like. Any dog I've ever had is right there and exuberant when I get home from being gone, unless something really WAS wrong. It's just not even funny to think about coming home and not seeing them there waiting..
