I went for many job shadows at the local vets and I asked them that very same question, why is the percentage so high if you dont spay your dog befor its first heat?? the vet stated that the dog will be 70% more likely to get cancer later in life.. That's too bad. It's one of the highest percent chances of a dog getting cancer that I'v eever heard of, so wanted to look into it further.
That's what I thought you might have meant, but I just wanted to make sure.
My dogs don't see the vet more than once a year, unless something is wrong. What exactly does your vet check?
