I occasionally get the itch to try a new recipe, much to my husband's chargrin. It really bugs me when all the ingredients sound good separately, but taste like @#$#@$ when put all together.
One thing I've learned, especially with sauces is to taste as you go. I recently saved a barbeque pork recipe when I tasted it and it was awful. I wanted it to have more of a bbq flavor so I looked at the ingredients on the back of a bbq sauce bottle and got creative. I actually salvaged this meal.![]()
