I was just reading this and wondering - what's so offensive about being a fireman? When I was little I watched the guys on "Emergency" slide down the poles all the time. My mom even watched it with me! I was only 5.

edit: Oh yeah - the firemen here wrap their pasties in foil and keep them warm on the firetruck engine. They eat them with lots of ketchup.
