You can buy them in 1-foot squares. I buy a bunch at a time, as they are also okay for them to eat, and apparently fun to destroy, as well as nice and comfy to lie on, so we have a few scattered about the kitchen floor as well.
These rice-straw mats sounds good, will visit the shop asap !!
He likes to play with blankets etc so last night I put an old towel in his cage, what fun he had pushing it around all night and re-organising his cage over and over again !!!
