As I wrote you, as with adults, when living creatures grow older, they ALL require more time, effort, understanding and patience from everyone. Everybody has a bad day, when they may lose their temper or get frazzled and say things they don't mean. But, if as you told me, Rufus is happy, eating well, not in pain, loves giving and getting love, well, it's up to YOU to rally the troops to all chip in and make the extra effort to make things easier for all....Rufus as much as well as your family. Maybe you can all sit down and have a group talk, to iron out and discuss the problems and get everyone's pledge to cooperate with one another. I think your Dad may have just been in a bad mood. Some of us are just more understanding of issues like accidents in the house. Maybe you and your brother, whom you say adores Rufus, can agree to help each other out re: Rufus' care to keep your Dad happy and calm! Let us know how it goes.
