Omgosh! I'm so glad tikeya wasn't hurt...what a lucky little pooch eh? Kai's had some close calls...
I've said this on pt before..but I guess I'll just refresh your memories lol...My mom and I took Kai to the vets. After we were done the checkup, I left to go in the car and wait for my mom to come back from picking up a few things at a store across the road. Kai had always hated getting in the car. I got in and tried getting him in with the leash. Sure enough, he slipped out. There I was holding his leash with the collar AND tags watching him run. At first he ran away from traffic...because half a block away, were ALOT of cars. Probably one of the busiest roads in vancouver. I ran after him but he decided to turn and go back towards traffic..he stopped at the bushes and decided to smell around...I tried grabbing him but he slipped out of my hands. He then ran away from traffic again and I chased him for 3 blocks. I had never ran so fast in my LIFE! I was just about to try to get him into the school field which was mostly fenced..I figured I could probably catch him in there rather than on the streets....while I was trying to get his attention to follow me...I little lightbulb had popped into my head...I tricked him into sitting for me by making a fist which looked like I had a treat in my hand..sure enough, he sat and I grabbed him....that was the end of that story...
This other time, I was sleeping over at my cousin's, so Kai was left to my mom and brother. Both of them had gone out to buy groceries leaving Kai with my dad at home. My dad let Kai out for a pee WITHOUT remembering that my mom always leaves the gate open when she goes out. We all know that so...we put a leash on Kai when he goes for a pee and the gates open. My dad left him out for probably half an hour or more. Kai went out the gate into the alley. My mom was driving home and said "Hey look at that cat! It looks like Kai! Let's run it over" (ONLY JOKING! she'd never do that). My brother screamed "THAT IS KAI!!!!". He had stayed within five feet of our garage...I was so glad he was safe..I got unbelievably mad at everyone when I got home...So now..I'm extra cautious..
