Wouldn't it be alittle ironic, if Cincy and Keegan not only share a birthday but a health problem?

yepper Amy that would be IRONIC!
I would definately get her thyroid checked it was only and $20 and if it would have been normal, at least I had the peace of mind it wasn't that.!

Glad you got a diagnosis and can treat the porblem. Just imagine how much energy Keegan may have if she take a few pounds off
OIY!!! I didn't think of that!

I'm so glad that you have such a good vet. Thyroid problems are not uncommon in Goldens, but are very treatable.
Sweet Keegan Grace, you have grown into a most beautiful Golden girl. Now, if you take your pills, you'll be well in no time, with no holes in your gorgeous shining coat.
Big hug to you and best wishes for a quick recovery from Carina and Alicia.

It is so good that you have a vet who took that bit extra effort & time to find out what was the root of Keegans problem, now you know what you are dealing with the only way is up!

Please give your beautiful girl a hug and kiss from me!

Glad you found out what is going on with Keegan.
Sheba has been on a very low dose of thyroid pills for
about 3 years 2 times a day. (mainly for platelet reasons
    instead of thyroid)
The pills worked like a miracle for her.
Her coat filled out, her appitite improved and she looks healthy again.
    Keep us updated on Keegan.

Thanks for the pictures of Keegan Staci...they were terrific. I loved so many of them (expecially the ones by the desk, Roxey does the same thing ) but I think this was my absolute fav!

I couldn't agree more Sandra! Keegan has grown up into quite the beautiful lady!

Staci, I'm so glad her problem is easy treatable and that your vet took the time to investigate. It means so much when they spend that extra time with the worried furparent, doesn't it? I remember when Bella was diagnosed with Lyme my vet just talked and talked with me and was unconcerned about the clock ticking along. I would definitely go ahead and write that note. I wish I had thought of doing that.
