I know a great golden named Sadie
Who unfortunately wasn't a lady
She ate two apple pies
When away from prying eyes
When discovered, her future became shady

I knew a great Golden named Puffles
Whose fur was all red-gold fine ruffles
But a tough-boy was he
He'd fix trucks with Daddy
And come home all dirty from scuffles

I knew a great golden named Rusty
Whose passion in life was the Frisbee
He'd leap without care
Straight into the air
Catch it, then run and play "catch me!"

(Sadie belongs to a friend, who was not at all happy about the pies - she actually chomped a big bite out of the middle of the third pie, when she was too full to eat the whole thing ...)

Puffles was a neighborhood dog when I was a kid

Rusty belonged to a co-worker, and came to company picnics!
