I have no idea, having never had a Monitor as a pet. I would suggest that you post this in Pet General. Perhaps there is someone out there who can help you. I am so sorry for the losses you have had. It's not just the money, is it, it's the loss of a pet that you really wanted to provide a perfect home for.
