To convince the husband, just show him a picture (or if you can get him to go to the shelter with you...just to look...better yet) and say to him in your saddest voice with big sad eyes, "Look at that poor dog. Isn't he beautiful? You can't let him die, can you? Look at his sad eyes. (If at the shelter say He likes you!! Look at that tail waggin'. He doesn't deserve to DIE, does he?" If your hubby is the big old softy mine is when it comes to dogs, he'll melt. Good luck! It worked twice for me!!
