Karen, it's me again. I can't get you out of my mind even for a minute. You and Cody are in my heart and I ache for the situation you are in now, having been there myself before. It is just awful and there is no other word to describe it. We take these pets into our lives knowing they will not be with us long and we say, OK when the time comes I will be able to deal with it. That is not so, as you are finding. You are a dear, dear friend and I wish I could be with you. For now, just know that I am asking God for comfort for you and for no pain for Cody.
