Where did you read this? Was it my article on feeding?

Here is a little info:
Male rats and mice have a protein (alpha2u-globulin) in their body that female rats and mice do not. When fed orange juice
d-limonene binds up with other chemicles in the male rats kidneys and eventually forms cancer. D-limonene is found manly is citrus foods as well as mangos. There is the most concentration of this in the rind of oranges.

D-Glucarate is also found in oranges and helps protect against cancer in both female rats and humans. If you do decide to feed them more oranges make sure it is limited as they contain a lot of citrus which can make a rats tummy upset if fed too much at once....sort of like ratty heartburn.
