Dear Angel Kitty~
I was so touched, brought to tears, reading your Mommy's love filled tribute to her beautiful, sleek and shiny, golden eyed, black pantherette girl. I'm so, so very sorry to learn that you've earned your angel wings, Kitty; your Mom holding you lovingly in her arms, comforting you as you left for the Rainbow Bridge. But while you may no longer be there with her in body, your time apart is only tempory as you patiently await that happy day when you and she are reunited. Until that joyful day you will forever and always live on in her heart, in the countless cherished memories you and she made.
How fitting it was that it was on Valentine's Day, the day we honor love, that you came into your Mom's life; the best gift ever. I know that each and every Valentine's Day since you came in her life, every one going forward, will be marked by the very special bond you and she shared, the countless happy memories you made, not to mention a few nail biting ones! No doubt you put more than a bit of fear into her as you went missing for 4 excrutiatingly long weeks, but thankfully you were rescued in time! Suffice it to say, I can only imagine your Mom's great relief as she saw your face peeking out from your hiding place beneath that tub, a bit worse for the wear but safe and sound!
Then one day I was calling her name and she meowed back! I looked everywhere but I couldn't find her. She meowed again and I, looking down. I kneeled and put my ear against the cold wood. Kitty was stuck inside the upstairs floor! We couldn't find a way to get her out, and weren't even sure where she was. Then one day, I heard her meow, but it was coming from my parents' bathroom. I ran there and listened. Kitty was underneath the tub! My dad pried open the wood around the tub and Kitty was free at last!
How very blessed your Mom was, having known your precious love and devoted companionship those many wonderful years, Kitty. A family, a human couldn't hope for a furry family member, a best furry friend any more special than you. Not only were you beautiful in looks, but just as sweet and loving as can be; a truly gentle soul; a friend to all.
I was upset about not having any more cats, for I am not only a dog person, but a cat person. That Valentine's Day my sister surprised me with a black kitten! I was super excited and named her Kitty. She was a great cat. She was friends with the dogs, nice to humans, and could use the toilet instead of a litter box! After a while, I let her live on my balcony because she loved the wind and the fresh air, and watching the world from there.
So, until that wonderful day when you and your Mom, fur pals Zydeco and Titan, Happy and Josephine are together once more, play happy and whole at the Rainbow Bridge will all of our beloved fur angels. And you know, Kitty, I hear that there are the most awesome balconies up there at the Rainbow Bridge with the most fabulous views and endless warm breezes, the sun shining brightly every single day...a balcony reserved just for you!And Kitty, please send down your love from above to comfort your Mom. She misses you so very much!
