Thread: Which breed would survive the longest in the wild?

    Akita's hands down

    The Akita would outlast them all. They are known to be able to survive on their own with no human interaction at all. They can live out their lives in wild no problem. They are the least removed domesticated dog from the wolf after all....

    I agree with you on that German Shepherd's would last the longest. Looks like me that they are more closely related to wolf anyway.

    Yeah even the backyard is a dangerous place to leave a Chihuahua alone.

    Basenji

    The basenji would survive. It is a solitary hunter.

    The Canaan dogs would survive since they were developed from semi feral dogs.

    The folk who said that a dog needs a pack are right. Even a small dog could survive as a member of a group.
