Dearest Robyn, aren't you just a stunning, sleek, shiny blue-grey Dutch Oriental Shorthair! You are so handsome, with that smooth, so-soft-looking fur and the long, LOOOOONG legs and the huge ears and the sweet, sweet angular face with the suede-like nose and the lovely pale-yellow eyes. I wish I could reach through the screen over to Oude Pekela in The Netherlands to pet you! I can't, but I know your loving and beloved Purrrson will pet you for me
.
And what a lovely story you have to tell! You adopted your Meowmie when she came to your breeder to find a successor to her dear ebony kitty Solitaire, who had passed away at age 15 from kidney failure. You let her know right away you had chosen her, and you have since been a great comfort to her, helping to heal her grief at Solitaire's passing. You make her smile with your antics. You love to play fetch with everything... a piece of paper, a toy, your mousie, etc. You are very talkative and very affectionate, always by her side, you give her kisses. What a delightful love-filled home you share!
Congratulations, darling Robyn, on being selected today's Cat of the Day! We hope you and Meowmie and Solitaire Angel and all your family and friends are enjoying a fine celebration, full of fun and lovies and all your favorite games and treats.

I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
