Hello Pepper, What a pretty girl you are! I like your white chin/lower lip and a bit unusual to me. I'm so glad you were adopted and have a wonderful loving home with other cats. I enjoyed all the photos but I smiled a lot when I saw all three of you looking outside at the glass door--very nice. I hope you have many more happy healthy years with your family. Congrats on being COTD!

What a darling you are! So happy you are safe~n~sound, living the life every Pet deserves. Live long, healthy, happy in your home. We live in Montreal, Canada and our Winters are harsh. Any Pet who was left out in NYC, Boston areas last night, I hope they survived. Knowing you are safe is the best news I read today.

This post is somewhat long. However, Cat, Dog, Pet people will most likely understand.

We love cats and have 6 inside plus we feed 3 outside. Inside the upstairs part of the Cat's Palace are where the Princes Felix who is 9, Raven 3 (born in The Palace when we rescued his mother, Ivory) and Puss~n~Boots, 4 live. In the lower part of The Palace live the Princes Rascal 6, Oreo 4 (rescued with Puss~n~Boots in July 2013) and the only Princess of the Palace, Beauty who is 3. Technically, Puss, Oreo and Beauty are Foster cats but somehow I think they've found their forever Palace.

The three outside kitties who are still learning to trust humans are Tuxie who is a beautiful long-haired grey/white tuxedo kitty about 3; Casey about 4 is a big orange kitty who could be our Puss~n~Boots brother and the absolutely handsome black & white Tuxedo kitty -- whom we call Fluffy -- turned three in June. He was born to a beautiful stray dilute Calico who one day brought her six kittens over to our back yard (they were about 9 weeks old) to frolic and play on the lawn, in the flower beds and also to sleep under the lilac trees. She would not permit me to come near her and the kittens, but she did appreciate the food, water and safety of our enclosed backyard and patio area. Our secluded back-yard has eight-foot high cedar hedges thus no humans can see the backyard unless they are on a ladder.

We tried to trap the six kittens once their Momma decided they were old enough to be on their own but, alas! we and the neighbours did not succeed. Fluffy is the only one who survived. He had two calico sisters (one dilute like Momma cat), two grey/white bothers and one b/w brother who looked like his twin. For a while, they all came to dine daily. Then just the Calico kitten came along with Fluffy to dine and rest -- until we caught her. She refused to eat. After many days of this, our veterinarian said to leave the garage door open so she'd leave and then we could try feeding her outside and trapping her again. We called her Callie. She came to eat often; then she did not come. We hoped she was safe! Later a neighbour told us Callie had 4 kittens under their balcony and they began caring for the feline family. Sadly, the kittens did not survive past five weeks and a few weeks later, Callie was hit by a car. We and our neighbours were greatly upset that of 6 kittens, only Fluffy survives. The loss of Callie and her kittens still brings us to tears when we speak of them.

Dear, darling Pepper, we are thrilled that you are safe and sound and will live a good life. We hope Fluffy will one day trust us enough to come in.

What a beautiful Tuxie girl you are, Pepper! You look so spiffy, all decked out in your formal attire, and as your mommy says, it's hard to miss those stunning, saucer sized green eyes, that wide eyed look of wonderment! And how sweet (and artistic!) is that pic of you and your sisters staring out of that sliding glass door! How far you've come from those sad and lonely shelter days, Pepper! You may still be a bit on the shy side, but when all is said and done, you're all about letting your parents just how much you love them, in your own special way! And come playtime, all bets are off! What a sweet and loving furkid your family has in you, sweet baby girl! You're a treasure, a beauty in body and heart, and so very worthy of your "top cat" kudos! Hope you're enjoying a fun filled day of celebration, sweet baby girl, chasing your sisters and play wrestling, surveying the world from the safety of your window perch, then napping on your Kitty City crinkle mat, being spoiled to the max and loved to pieces!

Pepper, what a beautiful tuxie girl you are! You spotted your new daddy and allowed him to pick you up that day, and adopted him on the spot! Now you have a wonderful home with your two kitty sisters, a window to keep an eye on everything outdoors, and your crinkly mat to have fun! You are such a lovely girl, all dressed up in your tuxedo, with your gem-like green eyes! Happy Cat of the Day to Pepper!
