I've heard of some dogs doing this, but this is the first I've seen any pics of it. That is just amazing. Do you have a vid cam?? - I'd love to see it in action.

Sooner is amazing. I've seen other pics of dogs climbing, but they were Beagles. Does Boomer
do this also? Oh, and how far is the tree from the fence in the background? She wouldn't be able to
go over it would she? I love the running pictures with ears flying in the wind.

No, Boomer doesn't climb trees but he does other things with the focus Sooner has about the squirrels in this particular tree. I guess that is a hunting dog trait. I need to get a video of it...she does it everyday...I just haven't taken the camera out to catch it, yet! The tree is about 3 feet from the fence, but she is so focused on the crook of the tree where the squirrels sit, I don't think she would even think about it. For instance, Boomer can and does jump straight up....hence the name, Springer, I guess..lol...and his back feet are even with the top of the fence. I used to worry he would go over, but he never does jumps like that unless we are out there, and I think he is so focused on jumping straight up, he hasn't thought to go over....I hope he never does....They both tend to have one track minds.....

I have never seen a dog climb a tree, LOL! Does she think she's a cat? I love seeing pictures of your pups. They're both adorable

How ever did I miss these before now? Boomer! "No pictures right now, Mom, I must run!" And Sooner, the tree climbing girl -- You go up for the squirrel and when he doesn't come down, you call to him! Look what you made my face do =>
I am happy to see you sweeties again!

Beautiful dogs having fun. What an athlete. I have never seen a dog climb a tree that steep.
