I debated long and hard about staying with my simple phone or upgrading and I finally decided I did not want to be out of the tech loop.
It is important for me to be updated on at least some of the new apps and programs that are available now to most people.
I still use messenger pigeons.![]()

I had a smart phone and I decided to downgrade. My phone was smarter than I. I wouldn't use apps anyhow. I text and take an occasional photo, that's about it.

If I had to pay a regular Verizon cell bill, I wouldn't text either. I, like you, had TracFone for quite a few years, but last year jumped on my son's Verizon plan for only the price of adding another phone - which is only $10 per month. On that I get unlimited free text, so I do text occasionally now, as compared to never in the past.![]()
