    Please tell me that's photoshop and not her actual hat.

    Wom, do you have to change the ribbons on the medals from World War 1? I have a medal that my mom won for high school band from 1950 and the ribbon is starting to fray. I'm sure the medal isn't worth anything except to my mom and me, and I was thinking of replacing the ribbon.

    It depends what shape the ribbon is in. I have some medals where the ribbon is really in bad shape, but I still wish to display them that way. I get a piece of new ribbon, and mount it next to the old medal and ribbon.
    I only put new ribbons on the medals that I get that don't have any ribbon on them when I buy them (and there are many that way).
    Can you tell me the colour of the ribbon you have ??? It's probably easy to get. Post a pic if you can......I'll see what I can find.
