    All those good thoughts and crossed paws did help - thank you so much!

    To get to the vet was a bit of a hassle, all streets around here are one-way streets, so we had to take a detour. Fister doesn't like sitting in a box in the first place, and driving around town isn't on the top of the list either, so he had an "accident" on the way. Wasn't too bad though.

    The good news is that his numbers are within normal, and he was being a good boy at the vets - except, he wouldn't come out the box in the beginning.

    When we came back, he went straight under the bed. After a good wash, some cuddles and a few treats, he wanted to go down, but of course, I didn't let him. He's now fast asleep in a chair.

    I have updated his numbers below. Oh, and he weighs 7,2 kg.

    Urea = Kidney
    Alat = Liver
    Glucose = Sugar

    2006
    Urea 8,7 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 64 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 16,49 (normal = 3.94-8,83) - high number due to anaesthesia vet said.

    2007
    Urea 9,5 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 61 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 6,88 (normal = 3.94-8,83)

    2008
    Urea 9,9 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 46 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 5,90 (normal = 3.94-8,83)

    2009
    Urea 11,6 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 45 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 7,02 (normal = 3.94-8,83)

    2010
    Urea 10,7 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 40 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 6,14 (normal = 3.94-8,83)

    2011
    Urea 10,2 (normal = 5,7-12,9)
    Alat 42 U/L ( normal = 12-130)
    Glucose 7,36 (normal = 3.94-8,83)

    Excellent! Well done, Fister!
    I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
    Death thought about it.
    CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

    I'm so sorry I missed this one. Fister, going into da porto-prison isn't fun at the best of time, but then that drive around town??? Don't feel badly and I'm glad that you are in such good shape. I expect to hear about you for years to come dear boy.
    Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
