    WARNING:
Do not put peeps in the microwave!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Well, great Slick, now you've got the idea (BOLD AND IN PINK!) in the Orc's head. Can't wait to see where this one goes!

Could I get some Peeps (preferably raspberry coated in dark chocolate, and yes, they do come that way!) and cappuccino, please? Thanks! Happy Easter y'all!

Oh, why not? You never let us have any fun!

When I was at Univeral Orlando I had a chocolate martini that was just divine! We make them at home now, with one part each Godiva chocolate, Frangelica and vodka.

OK GUYS, PULL THE TRUCK AROUND BACK!!!!

Orc go unlock the door. I was at walmart this morning and got us a year's supply of peeps!!! Peeps for all seasons too!!!

Orc, Don't you dare try and eat all of them. You will explode!!!

Of course, they aren't aged like karen's. But if we put some in the lost and found by the time we find them again, they will be.
No matter what anyone does, someone some where will be offended some how!!!!

The latest Richard update: Apparently Sat was a bit optimistic, so he's now saying Sun. They have removed the continuous IV and foot pump, that points to a release sooner rather than later.

I can't remember who asked, but yes he did lose all the toes on his left foot, but has the majority of the ball of his foot, so with the proper orthotic, he should be able to walk normally. They have him using a walker now.

Wom, I thought you would guess that a gal from KY would only drink Bourbon, straight. No nasty Mint Juleps for me, thank you very much. And Orc is more than welcome to come play in the muddles (muddy puddles) w/ Tucker. I outgrew that more years ago than I care to admit to.

I took printouts of this thread to the hospital tonite and Richard really had a belly laugh from Slick's comment about peeps/microwaves.

Richard is such a charmer. He literally has nurses fighting to be his nurse. He treats everyone w/ such respect that even the orderlies and custodians love him. Gotta respect someone who respects everyone that works hard to make a living.

Well, at least he may be home for Easter! And, given that he worked at a hospital for so long, I imagine he has healthy respect for those that do the hard work there! Tell him that when I was recovering from brain surgery years and years ago, the first time they had me use a walker, the physical therapist marveled and said "You do that remarkably well for a person your age!" I explained that I had lots and lots of elderly friends and relatives, so had seen the technique for much of my life.

With a little umbrella and a plastic seahorse in it ????

No, Wom, the umbrella and the seahorse go in RICHARD's drinks, not Doris's.

Glad to hear Richard's spirits are up, though I'm not surprised. We'll have to stash a walker for him in the bar, and make sure his orthodics are fireproof. After all, Orc can get a little out of hand with the fireplace.

I'm so glad to hear that Richard is doing better. And it's no surprise that he's charmed all the nurses b/c he's managed to charm all of us here on PT as well. That's our guy! Happy Easter, Richard, and try to stay out of trouble, will ya?
    Blessings,
    Mary

Oh, I thought Richards drinks had the little sombreros in them, served with the bowl of chillied jumping beans.

Easter update: Unfortunately Richard was not discharged today. He is NOT upset at this turn of events. Seems he likes being waited on hand and foot (excuse the pun).

He has 3 different drs that all have to sign off on his release and one has been ok w/ release for the last 2 days, the other 2 not so much.

I can't wait for him to come home, for lots of reasons but one is that it's easier to introduce 2 pets to one another w/ 2 humans to make sure no one gets hurt or bit.

I'm hoping that the next posting is truly Richard's.

The doctors are finally all in accord and fingers crossed, Richard will be home tomorrow. And not a moment too soon for Eddie. He tolerates me, but he definitely misses HIS human.

Not sure he'll feel up to opening the bar Thurs, but I'm sure he'll be on if I remember to keep the laptop charged up so that he can take care of orders from the comfort of his recliner.

Do we have any diet 7 up left? We do? Great! Could you please top up my glass, Wom?
