This neighbor put in guides so he knows how far to use his snow thrower.

These guides were put in at the curb. See how far OUT into the street the snow is?

These folks have to shovel out their mail box! That must have been a job, the street plows really pack the snow densely it is quite heavy to move. And from the looks of this, it was done with a shovel, not a snow thrower.

So I took the pups back home and got in the car to do some errands. Took the camera along to show you some more things.
My neighbor’s yard, he heee. That is a Dunkin’ Donuts coffee cup the snowman is holding!

That is the middle school behind me. The city has already had front end loaders moving snow out and / or back, to make more room for future storms. This is at the corner coming out of the school yard – the school buses need a LOT of space to take the corner, so the snow has to be way back and the street does get widened.

I am on the main road, the car and van are going in to a shopping mall. The van is a great “marker” to show you how high that pile is!

All the malls have enormous parking lots. The area close up to the stores gets cleared completely. The snow gets shifted into mounds at the back of the lot.

A car to give an idea of the mound.

This front end loader has finished his work.

Just a few more to share.
