My thoughts will be with you.

I am so thankful that I 'got out' so cleanly. (It wasn't me who wanted out though- to clarify)

I hope all of our dear PT friends realize all the struggles we are still facing, even one year later. It has so many facets, emotional, psychological, financial, legal.
    It is just draining.

    All the best Gayle.

Gayle just want to offer you my support, and hope that all goes well for you.

As a fellow IBS sufferer, have you heard of a medication called gastro-soothe, it is for IBS, and can be bought over the counter, i was given it on prescription by my doctor, it may have a different name over there though, i always take it when traveling and it works, don't know if it is a mind over matter thing or not, but don't care it does the job, i am not worried about traveling when i take it, and so the vicious cycle does not begin.

Also since i have been on a low fat diet most of the time,my episodes are almost nil, only when i break free from the low fat and have some nawtee times, so something to consider.

Again best of luck with your difficult situation, just remember you have done nothing wrong, and be strong and confident, i wish you well.

Gayle, when I was still living in Calgary I went through the process of a deposition (for a car accident). Your lawyer is right that the process isn't "that bad". The worst part is the anticipationm but once you start answering questions you will get into the "swing of things". The lawyer gave you good advice, just stick with short and sweet answers. Do not elaborate and answer specifically what was asked.

Good luck with it. You will be fine.

My lawyer finally went thru all the stuff I prepared for her at the end of November. She's crafting our own settlement offer, hopefully to send to him on Friday with a Wednesday deadline. If he accepts it will be all over. If not we proceed as planned with the questioning, going to court, spending tons more money, etc.

Need some PT prayers that the offer goes and he accepts. I know, if we all pray hard enough and think positive enough this can happen.

    Thanks all so much!!!

To update everyone, there has still been no response from his side, so my lawyer, tired of the waiting game, is sending a letter today to demand we proceed with the questioning on Monday, March 14th. Enough is enough already. We're ready to take this to a judge and be done. I will be sitting with her tomorrow afternoon so she can prepare me for the questions. I wish someone could prepare me to be in the same room with this monster! That's going to be the hard part. I know you all will be behind me though so I will stand tall (as tall as a 5 foot nothing girl can) and strong. So they can either provide a response immediately or we forge ahead. We'll see how it shakes out.

Okay, it's not the size that counts, it's the size of the attitude that counts! I have gotten through various situations in life that people couldn't believe I did unscathed, and I would explain, "Hey, I may just be 5'6" but I think I'm 6'2"! I inherited Dad's attitude, just not the height to back it up."

So for that day, I am officially loaning you my Tall, Strong and Fearless attitude, okay? And another tip - a low, deep growl is completely unexpected from a little white girl. Scared the bejesus outta folks when they were not expecting it. I explained to one person - "hey, my German Shepherd helped raise me. Of course I growl like a big dog!"

So let me know what time I should be meek that day, and what hours, so you can use my whole attitude for your own! I'd send you my "lions, tigers and leopards" jacket if we had time, it's the fiercest article of clothing I own!
