I went to our local Zoo a few years back and a Chimp had a new baby.

I was the only person standing in front of her enclosure and she held the baby up in her arms for me to see. I was so amazed that she did that, that I just started clapping. This seemed to please the Mama a great deal because she was so proud of her baby.

So I have never been able to put any of the monkey/chimp/gorilla group in any ugly category.

That very same day I visited the gorillas. There were a group of young boys - say 14 - 16 years of age. They were taunting the gorillas - especially the silverback. The silverback in one rapid motion, reached behind himself, gathered a huge "freshly made" pile of excrement in his hand and threw it at them hitting all of them at once.

I always fondly remember that day.
