She's home but she gave me the Puddy glare through the carrier in the car. She was thirsty and drank a ton of water as soon as she got in the door. She hasn't eaten as of yet but I just took her collar off, so maybe she will now. The vet tech said I could take it off as long as I'm home to watch that she doesn't scratch the sutures.
The polyp was 3/4 of an inch and looked like a pink piece of cauliflower. It punctured her ear drum and she had pus bags on her soft palate. She has pain meds to be administered twice a day plus she's on a stronger antibiotic and ear drops for the MRSA. Sorry, I'm brain dead right now; I'll post the names of the meds later for you all for future reference in case you ever need them for your cats. Hopefully, you won't, though.
I misunderstood Dr. Lee; I thought he was going to remove part of her ear. He didn't do that but cut through the ear canal because of where the polyp was located. Fortunately we caught this one early but if another one grows, it's difficult to know until she shows symptoms.
Anyhow, she's home and I must make some dinner. I've made it on a piece of toast all day and my head is throbbing. Please continue your prayers for my little Yodie Yodie that she gets a good night's sleep and heals quickly.
