http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...ng.html?p2=136 This will tell you how! This site has saved me a time or two when dailing internationally![]()
An overseas call should be the same from every country (except from the origin of the recipient location) as far a I know!
So you need the country code which is +44 or 0044. Then the 020 seem to be the area code which normally you just ommit the first 0. So far:
0044 20 and the rest 6 digit number.
Hope it is of any help!
Regards
Karen
I dial international everyday.. First you have to dial 011 then the country code & the city code & then the number.. Oppss your in Canada so I dont know about you & the 011 prefix..

Thank you everyone!
Welcome! I never realized there were so many #'s involved in making a call to the UK!
So it'd actually be 011 44 203 027 0979. leave out that first zero if you're having problems, that's what I was doing wrong the first few times I tried to call the UK.

Could you kindly answer my curiosity please?
Why the 011? What does it stands for? Is it a prefix to get cheeaper rates when calling overseas? Or, what?
