Done! Well done you!!
Done! Well done you!!
Yes, I'm done!!!!
What a fantastic day. The weather is hot and sunny and the walk in the woods was refreshing and phun.
Not only did manage to walk the whole 5 km (that's just over 3 miles) which is a feat in itself for me, but I also won #2 top fundraiser in the Individual cat-agory.I'm really proud of myself today.
I met lots and lots of the dogs and there was even a girl who walked her kitty. The little torti-girl sat on her Mom's shoulders (much like a doily kitty) the whole way. I did get a picture which I will post later.
Heartfelt thanks to those of you who have supported me. I find it extremely difficult to fundraise for anything and I thought long and hard before posting this thread. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Now, I need to soak my feet and get over to Thursdays for a drink. The bartender had better be there.![]()

Wonderful, and well done!
CONGRATULATIONS!
I listen to the CBC radio station from Windsor most evenings.. During the 8:00 news break this evening the announcer said there were fundraising walks and runs and marches all across Canada today. He was reporting from a breast cancer walk in Toronto (another cause I like to support being a survivor myself). I was hoping he'd mention your walk for the SPCA in BC, but no..
Still, I thought of you right away and wondered how it went..
And of course was not surprised at all to learn now that it went even better than I'd expected! #2 Fundraiser, you rock, girl! Look how much good you brought about for those wonderful animals.
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

Thank you!!!Yes, the Terry Fox Run was today and they coordinate runs all across Canada. It's a huge event - one that I'm leading up to in a year or two. I also want to participate in the Weekend to end Breast Cancer - but that's a 60 KM walk in two days - not quite there yet.
