I always find it interesting to see breeds with tails when they normally don't have them.. like the Boxer and the Doberman. Sad story about the It. Greyhound... what a freak accident. Good pics!

Yeah. I can imagine. Luckily it's illegal in all the Nordic countries, so the dogs get to keep their beautiful ears and tails![]()
Are Collies bigger in America btw? (just asking this to anyone who might know)
I haven't seen many Collies is real life but I always get the impression that the ones I see, are a lot smaller than the ones I see on TV, and here on Pet Talk and other places on the internet.
Yes.. the European bred Collie is 2 inches shorter at the shoulders than the North American Collies. European Collies are 20-22" tall for bitches and 22-24" for dogs. In N. America they are 22-24" for bitches and 24-26" for dogs.
There are a lot of differences between the two though... more than just height. Also in most European countries roughs and smooths are considered two separate breeds... and are not allowed to be interbred. In the US and Canada they are one breed, with 2 varieties and are often bred together. Just a little extra info LOL
If you're gonna breed Collies, don't you forget to breed in the brains and common sense. Without that you won't have a Collie, you'll have just another dog.
I've Been BOO'd!!
