Misty says thank you, Maya & Inka's Mommy!
Now -- I guess fur her story -- it deserves to be shared!!
Back where I lived, we had very few neighbors. and I guess we had the best cat food of them all.
Strays always came, and of course we let them eat our kitty food, otherwise for Stinky and Princess (the only tame cats..seriously.) We came up to 18 cats and we were so overwhelmed we were crying. We couldn't trap them because they were too smart -- they practically hid under our cars, the trailer, the house and everything else they could find. Now, Twist -- one of the first cats that came here. She had Patch. and Leaf. I don't know what these genders were, either. Apparently one was a female...because I go out and I see more kittens -- I go out the next day and again, I see more.
One time, I woke up -- and my dad calls me and says he saw a brand new litter of babies resting on my porch. I was like, AHHH!!! Lol.
AnywayFew kitties later, Misty happened. I wanted her so bad. She was adorable. So one day me, my mom & my dad went out- - Dad poked a stick through the log that Misty was hiding in (without hurting her, I promise) and I caught her. She went spaz, scratched the heck out of me, but then she calmed down a little when she came to her new forever home.
I put her in a box with a blanket, and she was very nice then. She grew and grew and she's still small (her mom Wendy was very small, I don't think she's gonna grow to a big size.). So, when she grew she was let out of the box -- she always loved playing on the kitchen floor and was laying upside down on her back always.
She always threw up on the floors, whether it was cat food or...a hairball. And then, the day we moved.
---------------------We got an old box, put blankets on it and put Misty inside -- closed the top and poked holes through the sides, back and front so she could breath and look out and put her paw through.
We packed, kissed Misty (she was still nice then, so she didn't tear my lip apart.)
And we went out. On the way out we got the carrier that we bought for her, and put her in there and put the box in the back of the truck. She went, found a hole in the carrier (it was cloth silk blue and had one of these holes for the kitten to look out, but she was too small and got out all the way.) She went back in the back of the truck and played around.
I had to unbuckle, go back in the truck all the way back, crawl under the seat and grab her. Put her back in the carrier. She got out again, so I just decided to hold her, then whene we got to a gas stop we put her back in the old box.
We stopped for gas and a snack -- she pushed the back open before we did get out so we had to face her to the back of the seat. We left the door windows open so I was so scared she was going to get out (gladly she didn't.) 3 hours later we were there. A few bags later, along with another bag, a 47inch plasma tv, unpacked, put her out of the box to wander along (by the way, this was the best day of my life. I got a kitten, AND I moved to my dream house). She puked on the carpets (yeah, this was defiinitely her favorite home). Ran down the halls like a crazy maniac, hid under the tables and couches.
P.S I'm in love with this dear kitty -- I've been with her 1 year already (and I can't believe it either) and I will never give her up. I love you Misty.
Other P.S..When you see and want a kitty -- you never ever have a bad day in your life. & we still have these strays at the other house! (Dad takes care of them.. he left and doesn't live with us)
Ow...my hand hurts..ALOT!!!
Anyway, happy birthday baby!!:
