The gents who keep this plane flying and going to different shows are very dedicated to their "job".
They set up a little area at each show with a jeep, tent and other WWII articles and charge a few dollars for a short tour of the plane. All the money goes back into keeping the the plane flying and hangered.
Should you ever get a chance to see any WWII plane near you, please take the time. Today's Air Force pilots have the luxury of "retreating" at the speed of sound. When you actually see a vintage plane flying along, you cannot help but think of what kind of men that flew them and how much they put on the line to do their job. We can't forget them.![]()

Signed! I hope they can keep the poor Mitchell there. I know Camarillo used to have some of the Commemorative Air Force planes, so maybe that's an option too. Much further drive than Van Nuys or Burbank though.
