Sorry, yes he did take a urine sample and looked for crystals. He couldn't find any tho'. Or at least that's what I understood.

I think the name of the first antibiotics is Clamoxyl. It's difficult to read however because the vet gave me the pills in a plastic bag and the name is written by hand. The second ones (which he is taking now) are called Baytril vet. Enrofloxacin. He gets 25mg every day for a week.

Taggart is still peeing a lot. Today the pee foamed .. I've never seen that before. But then again, perhaps I haven't paid as much attention to his pee like I have these past couple of weeks :P So that might be it.

Anyway. I guess I just worry too much and should trust my vet some more He's very vague, you know. It's just his personality I guess but that doesn't mean he's a bad veterinarian. I've had bad experiences before with the other vet so that's probably why I felt the need to post here and get my frustration out

    Do you mean Clavamox?

If there is no improvement by tomorrow, I would take him back. He needs more testing - not a different antibiotic. They won't do anything if they're not going after the problem.

Just had to pop in and say that pee does foam from time to time. It probably has more to do with the force of the urine being expelled from the body than chemical make-up I know horse urine sure does foam, and when the pups have to go badly, it foams. Physics, I suppose!

Sorry for being so late to reply.. and bumping a thread that really doesn't belong here because it's more of a rant I suppose XD

Anyhoo.. Just wanted to say that he's fine now The second antibiotics did the trick and he's peeing normally again.
