I'm so glad everything is ok and none of your were hurt! I know it's hard to think in a situation like that but in the future PLEASE call 911 FIRST ... before a BF or roommate!Also, it would be best to go outside (even in the cold) than to possibly trap yourselves in a bedroom. Even if the flames didn't reach you, the smoke can be deadly! Just a concerned "mom" talking here!

I think it has to do with the fact that I should try to fix it myself before I let others fix it for me. It comes from my mother. Luckily here, even if the house was ablaze we couldn't get stuck. There are just too many ways to get out. Once I move into a bigger place (I feel like I live in a closet) I'll be making a disaster plan, in case of fire or anything else.
