I understand completely. My RB Pepper will come and visit me from time to time too and he'll sometimes let me see him.![]()
I find it very comforting to read all this.
I used to know a lady who missed her cat Rose so much, and she said she often saw Rose out of the corner of her eye, scooting across the room, or just sitting slightly out of her line of vision. I thought it might be just that she had been so used to having her around it was like, out of habit "feeling" her presence. Since then I have heard several people say the same thing and now I read it in this thread.
I find it very comforting. With my beloved girl about to turn 19, you will understand why.
There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats. (Albert Schweitzer)
We'll keep a candle burning that you'll still have many good, loving, quality years w/your beloved senior girl. And when her time does come, I'm sure she'll visit you on occasion due to the bond between you.Originally Posted by TopCat3

I never had a cat 'visit' until Nakita passed away. She came by 3 times in the last year and it really changed my way of thinking of what happens after death.
These visits were really remarkable and really helped me work through my grief and realize that life does move on and it is ok to move on as well.
There is a time for grief and there is a time to heal and then there is a time to enjoy what else that life was to offer. And there is SO much out there.
I'm glad you also had a visit....you'll always keep it close to the heart.
Don't be afraid that your life will end. Be afraid that it will never begin.
