RIP Scooter. I am certain that you felt the love that your Meowmie had for you. And you lived in comfort and safety, even if only for a while. You left your mark on this world by touching a human heart, and are now rewarded with eternal health at the Rainbow Bridge. Aw, what a sweet face Scooter had. Be comforted in the knowledge that you gave him a good life for 4 years, years that some other cats will never know. He knows peace now and soon you will, too.
