How cool! A pter moving here! The pictures were taken all over the place because I had visitors. My friend Cindy had never been to Colorado so of course we had to visit lots of places.

#1 was taken south of Georgetown, it was about 1.5 hours away from our house (we live in SE Denver).

#2 was taken at Golden Gate Canyon State Park, about 45 min away (15 miles west of Golden).

#3, 7 & 8 were taken at Rocky Mountain National Park, which is about 1 h and 45 min away.

#4 was taken at Garden of the Gods, which is just west of Colorado Springs (about an hour away).

#5 was the Sand Dunes, which is in Southern Colorado (about 4 hours away).

And 6 was taken just outside of Boulder which is about 35 min away.

So far, there aren't many colors in the Denver area itself because it is only a little over 5,000 ft. The higher you go, the cooler the climate! Most of the really bright colors were over 8,000 ft. We also finally got snow on the front range so we can admire the mountain snow from a distance here.

I'm so jealous of all you lucky people that get fall. That time of year is my favorite. Right before Christmas when it starts to get chilly. All those beautiful colors. Sigh. One day I'll get out of Florida. Until then, I'll enjoy the beauty it has to offer. This is a Florida fall.

Thank you! ..I'll be going to school in Denver. But after that I would love to move farther north, I'm thinking Fort Collins.
