Basically, a large number of dogs have been pulled from kill shelters or puppy mills, and people are needed to transport the dogs to rescues and adopters willing to take them in. Sometimes this involves shuttling dogs halfway across the country, or even flying them in from Greece or other countries with a high number of unwanted animals.
