Pets & humans can't catch germs from each other - different germs infect different species - but pet diarrhea, just like human diarrhea, has a multitude of possible causes. It could be germs, a food allergy, or even a hereditary disorder. Only a vet can figure out what's causing it.

Actually pets can transmit many things to humans, it's called zoonosis and in some cases can be very serious!! That is why proper vaccinations, parasite checks, deworming and hygene in a pet is so very important.

Any diarrhea in pets should be checked with your vet and a stool sample check for parasites should be done as a precaution. In humans a visit to your family physician might be in order.
