I'm just wondering how her tooth and grooming visit went. It's about 5:00 PM now (in Chicago) so I wonder if you have her home just yet.

Just got home w/my Pidgie Pie. She did great! Didn't even have any extractions! No more tangle tummy either, so now I can call her Bare Belly. They had to shave her belly and parts of her hindquarters. I feel so bad about that but there was nothing else they could do. But now that all the mats and clumps are out, I'm going to groom her every day instead of being lazy and doing it only once a week. That should help. Sweet girl was really disoriented when I brought her home, as though she didn't know where she was. She paced back and forth and even walked in circles. She's never had to be under anesthesia except when I first got her and had her spayed; she's been really healthy. So I just held her a little bit and calmed her down. I think she was just plain hungry and was looking for her food dishes. So I can exhale now! Whew! We older gals are tough cookies, huh Pidge?
Blessings,
Mary

So glad to know that Pidgie Pie did just fine!
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.

I just tucked everyone in for the night and Pidge appears to be limping. She was pretty stationary since she came home because, as I mentioned in a previous post, she was a little out of it from the anesthesia. But when I put everyone to bed, as she walked away from me, she appeared to be limping. I know she doesn't feel strong or stable enough to hop up to her "bed". (She sleeps on a 50 gallon African drum that I've covered w/blankets just for her.) So she walked away and laid on the cold cement basement floor. Not good. So I put one of the blankets on the floor for her. If she's like this in the morning, I'm calling Dr. Lee. There would be no reason for her to limp. They shaved her hindquarters but shaving doesn't hurt unless they did it before they put her under and not after. Then she might have struggled and hurt herself, I don't know. But I intend to find out, that's for sure. My sweet little girl has never had any problems until now. This really makes me sad. And concerned.
Blessings,
Mary

I'm so happy to hear that her teeth cleaning went well.
I hope her limping is nothing serious and she will feel much better tomorrow.
