I really love that place! Saw it for the first time in 1990, after the German Reunion. Even though it's only 40 km away from here, it was in the former German Democratic Republic, so we could never go there before 1989...

Wow, that looks a lot like Houghton Castle which is quite near me. I just love the wonderful medieval constructions that we are so lucky to have in particularly northern and western Europe. I know what you mean about the eeriness of the places though, they always seem the perfect hangout for a few unrestful spirits...![]()
