Liz that is a real concern especially for small dogs. One day at the vets I got talking to the owner of a teacup poodle (they aren't really recognized) but the little cutie had a cast on her front leg. She is getting better as we go along. In fact hubby (a dyed in the wool poodle man) recently said that if it wasn't for the large piles in the yard she would be a pleasure to have permanently. Her personality is just so sweet.
The floor holds up to everything. I can't sing its praises enough. Hubby first saw Pergo at his friend's house several years ago. This guy actually crushed out a cigarette on it.(I am not endorsing this as a good test of this flooring though
