Wow, Harlee looks so grown up now. She is beautiful. I never considered
that flooring because I didn't want Buddy to have any accidents that would
injure his legs. Out of habit, I'd probably still put a throw rug down. just in
case. It does look great in your pictures.

Liz that is a real concern especially for small dogs. One day at the vets I got talking to the owner of a teacup poodle (they aren't really recognized) but the little cutie had a cast on her front leg. She had also broken the other one previously by sliding into furniture. Fortunately Harlee is sturdy and will probably be just fine after some unplanned quick trips to the floor. She is getting better as we go along. In fact hubby (a dyed in the wool poodle man) recently said that if it wasn't for the large piles in the yard she would be a pleasure to have permanently. Her personality is just so sweet.

The floor holds up to everything. I can't sing its praises enough. Hubby first saw Pergo at his friend's house several years ago. This guy actually crushed out a cigarette on it. (I am not endorsing this as a good test of this flooring though )

P.S. Cybersibes, I forgot the dog show was on. I watched a rented video instead.

Actually a carpet over a wood floor will ruin it. Something about dirt that gets trapped under the rug scratching the surface like grit or sandpaper..

    Hi Pam!

Love the floor. Looks exactly like what I have in my Den and Bedroom. We need more pics of the 3 cutie patooties.

You'd think that the Collies would have a harder time with the wood floor, but it's actually Murph that does. He just never seems to understand that he can't go from standing to full out running. He always ends up looking like a cartoon character with his legs pumping like crazy, while he doesn't move an inch.

Oz has adapted to it the best. Well after I put down a throw, so he can jump up and down off the bed. He seems to understand the importance of just walking to get from place to place.

Gull likes to run like Murph too, but he's developed like an ice skating motion, where he just slides his paws across the floor. So he does pretty good on it. I'll have to get a video of him and Oz playing though. Since they can't really run that well, they just sort of bounce and spin in one spot, barking at each other.

    Par...
