Man killed by his own dogs, breaking up fight

ALSO isn't it a known fact that outdoor dogs, esp. rotties, pitties, dobbies, do NOT do well outside? they tend to be more agressive.. as in a walking time bomb...

ANY dog of ANY breed can become aggressive when kept outside and unsocialized. Not especially rottweilers, pit bulls and dobermans.

This whole story bothers me.

The lady used to breed rottweilers but doesn't anymore. (I can think of a couple of hundred people I know that are going to be very glad to hear that!) If she knew anything about the breed, these two would be trained, socialized and would live in the house - not in the basement.

Anyone want to place bets on whether or not these dogs were neutered?

Wow. I would be speechless from the utter stupidity of this ... but I'm never speechless.

A 160 pound man tries to break up a fight between a 110 pound dog and a 125 pound dog, presumably bare-handed? The dogs are known to fight ... and yet they are locked in the basement together, unsupervised? One dog lives inside with its family, and the other dog lives outside alone?

Obviously, these were people who should not have owned any dogs of any breed.

Tragic all aroud to be sure.

and once again the dogs pay the ultimate price. I feel for that poor man & his family, but his girlfriend should have known better.
