I only read #1 & wanted to add this.
TD VISA has a GREAT system set up. There is a computer that monitors all the cards.. When one startes to have too many transactions compaired to normal, a group looks at it & then puts the card on hold.
How do I know this? It happened to me a couple weeks ago. It had been months since I had used my VISA. I paid it off full with a line of credit I opened & gave my card to Chad, so he could buy things he needed for his wedding. After a day of buying costly items & many items, the card was put on hold. I completely understood why they did it & thanked them. However! It took me 4hrs of yelling & 8 different phone calls to get my card working again.
So as a warning, if anyone is doing wedding planning & using the card more then usual, CALL THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY FIRST!! Then use your card. We lost a caterer because of the hold.. so that wasn't cool at all.. BUT I still happy VISA has that plan in order.. its just a pain in the rump to get the card activated again.
