Go to Yahoo and join all of the Michigan rescue/pet groups you can find and post pictures and the story and your location. The dogs may have ended up in a shelter and have since gone to rescue...

If you buy into animal communicators, I know one here in Fort Wayne and my husband is pretty good at it too, perhaps you can find them that way.

Can you give me anymore info on the dogs? Names? Ages? Weights? Colors? Personalities?

Also, on a sad note, could you handle bad news? I hate to ask that, but, the reality is that it may be bad news. Having been there done that, but, have been on the good side as well.
