I am flabbergasted about todays dog, because we also have a "dark" golden retriever and his name is Rudy too!!!!!!! how crazy is that??
We got our dog when he was 3 months old and stood in the kitchen looking down at him deciding on what to name him (the previous owner was calling him Cocoa?) and I thought what about Rudy as in Rudolph the red nosed reindeer because he was the color of Rudolph in that cartoon... and it stuck!!
Of course,he also has other names such as Rudyschmoody. He was NOT a calm dog when he was little, infact he tore up my kitchen floor, rug, couch, chair and numerous pairs of shoes. But now at the age of 7 he is FINALLY mellowed out and just wants some love and attention. He is a PEOPLE dog through and through! He is the second goldie that we have had and they are the best dogs to have!
Anyway, congrats on the DOTD and our Rudy loves the snow also!!
