She is a beautiful dog. I wonder why the people had her bred if they
were going to give her away?

    This is the dad.

I have some pictures of the male she was bred to also, besides the breeding ones.

    Here he is.

The guy that had her and him sent them to my friend.

No. She doesn't look pregnant at all really. She is about 4 1/2 weeks pregnant if the day(s) they said she was bred are accurate, and I know a pregnancy is around 65 days so I think thats about 8 weeks or so that they are pregnant.. Maybe she just hasnt started showing yet.

if the mum isn't too far along maybe she can be spayed. i know this is a terrible thing to think about. i've had to do it before. but it prevents more pups being born. there are already not enough homes...just an idea. i hope you don't get upset.

You are, definitely, doing the right thing by taking her in so that she can have her puppies and you can find good homes for them. She looks very healthy and well cared for but why in God's name would anyone want to film her being impregnated?? Sicko owners I suspect.
Take care and good luck with your new responsibility.

she really does look well cared for. She looks like she has a sweet disposition, too. i'm glad you rescued her from going to a dog-fighter, what a horrible fate that would be for her and the puppies. Dog-fighting is something I'll never understand, I truly can't imagine why people do that to dogs.

gorgeous Baby! I'm so glad she has a safe haven now. And, um, I don't think taking pictures of breeding is gross, it's just breeding. It's gross if they were just in it without any real heart of purpose. (Which these people sound like so in this case it is a bit strange.) It's nothing I haven't at least seen in videos and in books before. People post pics of bettas spawning. but I guess that's just my take on it. When I breed I'll probably take pictures and or videos so I can learn from my mistakes. Matching the right dogs together is hard enough but the technical aspect of it can also be pretty hard sometimes and especially to perfect. It seems like they always breed when they're not supposed to and when you find a good match they don't wanna!

Lute you said my words! I know it sounds awful and we all love babies! however............................so many dogs so few homes. Please consider this as an option. On the surface it sounds cruel but faced with the actuality of pits going to responsible homes (jada pit for one my daughter etc) it may be kinder to mom and the babies.
